Gareth Dale teaches politics at Brunel University. He has written books on Karl Polanyi, the German Democratic Republic, and Eastern Europe, and has edited volumes on migration, green growth, and revolutionary uprisings in the neoliberal era. His essays have appeared in The Conversation, The Ecologist, Truthout, openDemocracy, Jacobin, Viewpoint, and Spectre.
